    • Check Up at Private Anka Hospital

When you come to your hospital appointment fasting in the morning, your file is created by our patient consultants. Then our patient consultants will instruct you to follow the steps below.

Your doctor will conduct a pre-interview and examination. After this interview, a special Check Up program is determined for you. Blood and urine-fecal samples are taken in our laboratory. Ultrasound or other imaging based diagnoses are performed in Radiology Laboratory. Our Patient Consultants will plan your appointments and accompany you when necessary. Your examination processes, started in the morning, will be completed by noon. Your appointment with the doctor will be arranged on a day and time that is suitable for you and your doctor will evaluate all your examinations and inform you. If it is deemed necessary at this stage, further examinations are requested and the results are evaluated by the same doctor.

    Preparation for Check Up

Examinations performed within the scope of Check Up require some preliminary preparations. Therefore, the recommendations for getting prepared to Check Up should be minded. Acting in line with these recommendations is important for the fast and smooth performance of the procedures and for obtaining accurate results from examinations.Patients should fast for approximately 12-14 hours before blood collection for laboratory tests. There is no harm in drinking water during this period, but smoking, consumption of sugar, gum and caffeine affect the results.

If there is Abdominal Ultrasound Examination in the package, patients should fast but bladder should be full. For this reason, it is necessary to drink water as advised by the specialists before the procedures and not urinate until this process is performed. It is recommended to bring towels, underwear, sports clothes and shoes if there is a stress ECG in the package.

It is recommended that female patients take a shower and do not use creams or perfumes for mammography. It will be appropriate to perform the examination between the third and tenth days of menstrual period.

Moreover, if there are regularly used medications, patients can continue to use them before check-up, but the physician must be informed about such medications. The previous test results, if any, should be brought on the day of the check up and shown to the physician so that they can also contribute evaluation.
